How to choose the right glass splashback

Regarding the color, you have the choice between clear glass or extra-clear glass. Contrary to what its name indicates, clear glass has a slightly greenish tint which can alter the color of the splashback lacquer. If the color you choose is rather light, you should go for extra-clear glass which will not change the color of the lacquer you have chosen.
Finally, you can opt for simple or tempered glass. Although tempered glass slightly more expensive, it is also about 5 times more resistant to thermal and mechanical shocks. This is due to the fact that tempered has had a special heat treatment. For your peace of mind, it is better to opt for a tempered glass splashback that will not break in case, for example, you put a hot pan next to it.
